Environment and certification
As supplier of the natural product wood the company DPW Te Paske bv is extremely aware of its responsibility. Where ever possible DPW te Paske bv seeks for sustainably farmed forests where trees are legally cutted down.
Sustainable forest management
To guard our forests as a source of raw material for present and for future generations a sustainable forest management is essential to ensure that all functions such as production, soil, water and air protection, research and education, social use, “gene pools” etc. will be preserved. It is more than only the planting of a tree as replacement for each cutted one. It covers a wide range of measures not only in the silvicultural sense but also in the field of human rights, working conditions, use of pesticides and a long-term planning with regard to the remaining forests and the conservation of other natural habitats. Sustainable forest management is based on three basic principles: environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economicallyviable.
FSC
Since 2001 DPW Te Paske bv owns the FSC-certificate. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization. FSC’s mission is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economicallyviable management of the world's forests. For this purpose FSC has elaborated national and international standards and a certification for sustainable forest management. Participating companies within this network are controlled accordingly. This offers consumers around the world the ability to choose products originating from sustainably farmed forests. It is a unique twist of FSC that for the resolution all involved parties (economical, social and ecology groups) are equally represented ( (multi-stakeholder).

PEFC
Since 2005 DPW Te Paske bv also possesses the PEFC-certificate. The “Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC)” is a wordwide, non-profit, independent forest certification system based on a multitude of nationally and regionally registered wood certification systems. The system has own, independent and internationally accepted standards for sustainable forest management and chain store certification. An independent third party control gives certainty to the consumers to buy wooden or paper based products of ecologically friendly origin and production. At the beginning the PEFC has been created to consider the issues of 12 million mostly small forest owners. By now 33 countries on 6 continents participate to the system. 24 certification systems are already registered and further well-known certification systems such as ATFS and MTCC also intend to join.
